JOIN AN ADVISORY COUNCIL
Dear Irvine residents,
As part of my commitment to social and economic justice, I am announcing the formation of Advisory Councils. I want to make sure that come 2021, everyone has a seat at the table in shaping the policy issues of the future in Irvine.
We have created Student Advisory Council to advise me about the issues impacting young people in Irvine.
I invite young Irvine residents who are in high school, community college, at a University, in grad school, or in a trades program to apply. I highly encourage young people of color, LGBTQ student, economically disadvantaged students, undocumented students, and students of all abilities to apply. Your voices matter and I need your input.
Our campaign is also inviting residents to apply to be a part of our Diversity Action Council. People of color need to be at the table to shape the policies of the city. As a part of the council, you will have the opportunity to advise on diversity and equity issues in the city as we develop an action plan to implement at city hall in 2021.
Please send an explanation of interest for consideration with accompanying information about you- a resume, article, artwork, or whatever you think best reflects who you are.
Sincerely,
Lauren Johnson-Norris
